'I want to get stuck in'

Divisional Planning & Performance Manager Farrah Naz, Paediatric & Maternity Admin Team Manager Amanda Meehan, and Business Support Manager Ikram Sarwar went to Ward 19 for the Obstetrics SIM Session. Here's what they had to say:

How did you feel before your SIM Session?
Farrah: I had lots of questions
Amanda: I’ve sat in on other SIM Sessions but this one was just for maternity staff, because we were originally told that we weren’t in scope but it’s becoming apparent now that we will need to know about EPR
Farrah: We already use electronic systems, so we wanted to know how Cerner will fit in with those
Amanda: We also wanted to know how EPR will change how our colleagues work

How do you feel after your SIM Session?
Farrah: I feel reassured. I’m looking forward to the change team coming now because I feel more prepared.
Amanda: I feel really positive about it. I want to get stuck in and I can’t wait for it to start!
